CELLULOSE WOOL: ECO-FRIENDLY AND EFFECTIVE INSULATION

Cellulose wool, due to its composition and the process of obtaining raw materials, is an ecological and effective thermal insulation. Choosing cellulose wool for insulation or repair means choosing insulation made from renewable raw materials, which has natural properties and is environmentally friendly. Cellulose wool is an eco-friendly and responsible insulation material that provides year-round comfort while reducing energy consumption.

INSULATION FROM RENEWABLE RAW MATERIALS

Cellulose wool is an eco-friendly insulation material for construction, consisting of 90% recycled paper. The paper itself is made from wood, a renewable and natural raw material.

OBTAINED AS A RESULT OF PROCESSING

During the production process, waste paper is sorted according to very strict criteria: it must be completely dry and free of staples, bands, plastic, etc. After sorting, the raw material can be recycled and processed into cellulose wool. This insulating material can be used in attics, sloping ceilings, walls, and floors.

CO2 NEUTRAL BALANCE

Unlike mineral insulation, the production of cellulose wool does not require combustion. Sorted paper is first shredded and then impregnated with mineral salts. The mixture then passes through a stone mill to break down the paper and give it insulating properties. Finally, the cellulose wadding is vacuumed and then packed into bags, which are automatically palletized. Its carbon footprint is neutral, and production generates less than 1% waste.

PHASE SHIFT

The phase shift of cellulose wadding ensures comfort in both winter and summer, while reducing heating energy consumption. This is because heat transfer through cellulose wadding takes 2.5 times longer than through glass wool insulation. In this way, heat is retained in the house in winter, which significantly reduces heating costs. In summer, cellulose acts as a natural thermal shield against external heat, keeping the temperature inside buildings low.

CO2 CAPTURE

Cellulose wool directly contributes to reducing greenhouse gas emissions. In fact, this eco-friendly insulation is produced through recycling, which traps the carbon dioxide captured in the cellulose. Countries accustomed to extreme temperature fluctuations, such as Canada, the United States, and Finland (where every second house is insulated with cellulose wool), have been using it for many years, providing us with data from over 50 years of use.
