REMOVING INSULATION
Loose insulation is removed using a fiber extractor, also known as a thermal insulation vacuum cleaner.

Although regulations governing the blowing of loose-fill insulation into attics do not require the removal of old insulation, Igloo Cellulose recommends that its partners remove old insulation before starting work. Although this task has long been tedious and tiring for professionals, there are now devices that facilitate quick and easy removal of loose-fill insulation, whether in rolls or panels.
The use of a thermal vacuum cleaner allows for quick dismantling (increased efficiency) with only two people working at fixed positions (reduced risk of falling from the roof), while ensuring that the demolition area remains clean.
